Arizona DOC Gets Interim Head

The AP reports:
Gov. Jan Brewer on Friday named Charles L. Ryan to temporarily head the agency, filling a vacancy created by the recent resignation of Dora Schriro. Ryan is a corrections consultant who previously served as a top administrator and prison warden in the Department of Corrections.
Brewer also named Charles Flanagan as interim deputy director. Flanagan is a former corrections official who has been working at Cochise Community College.
